Firm Welcomes Finance Partner Barry Newman
London, January 4, 2022, Proskauer, a leading international law firm, today welcomed Barry Newman who joins the firm’s Finance practice as a partner based in London.

Barry has a broad practice and client base, focusing on domestic and cross-border leveraged finance and infrastructure investments. He has extensive experience advising private equity sponsors, corporate borrowers and infrastructure investors on the financing of leveraged acquisitions, infrastructure investments and general corporate facilities.

Barry received his B.A. from The University of Manchester. He joins Proskauer from Travers Smith where he was a partner.
Barry’s hire is the latest of a long line of new joiners in Proskauer’s London office. Rebecca Villarreal joined as a partner in the M&A practice in June 2021, Peter Olds joined as a partner in the Private Funds Group, based in London and Steven Baker who joined the Litigation department as a partner based in London, both in February 2021.
