Barry Newman is a Finance partner and a member of the Firm's Global Finance practice and Private Capital industry group.
Barry leads the Borrower Finance practice in London, exclusively advising private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers on a broad range of debt financing solutions for buyouts, public-to-private takeovers, refinancings and general corporate facilities. He has extensive industry expertise in the consumer, retail, business services and financial services sectors.

Barry’s pro bono activities include:
- managing the Firm’s relationship with ThinkForward (empowering young people in the UK through long-term coaching); and
- serving as a member of the Finance & Investment Committee for Norwood (one of the UK’s oldest charities, supporting neurodiverse children and their families and people with neurodevelopmental disabilities).
