NEW YORK, July 22, 2025 – Proskauer, a leading international law firm, is pleased to welcome Lawrence (Larry) Berkovich as a partner in the Firm’s Structured Credit practice in New York. With more than 20 years of experience dedicated to collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), Larry is a highly respected leader in the space and is focused on representing arranging banks, asset managers and debt and equity investors in broadly syndicated loan, private credit and middle-market CLOs, rated and unrated leveraged loan warehouse facilities, structured term financing facilities backed by portfolios of loans, risk retention financings and a variety of other structured credit products, as well as CLO refinancings, resets, reissuances, upsizings and restructurings.
Larry joins as Proskauer continues to substantially grow its Global Finance Group, offering the full spectrum of finance capabilities to clients across the U.S. and Europe. He is the Firm’s first partner focused on CLOs in the U.S. Proskauer has recently welcomed several other finance partners in the U.S., including Alexandria de Padua, Frank Oliver and Heather Viets. The Firm has also welcomed seven new finance partners in the London office over the past year, including John Goldfinch, who has more than two decades of experience with CLOs, and Global Finance co-head Philip Bowden.
“Larry’s arrival marks a significant milestone in the ongoing development and growth of our broader finance capabilities and further demonstrates our commitment to offering market-leading CLO capabilities in the U.S. and Europe. “Larry is a true market leader in the CLO space, with a rare depth of knowledge across both the structural and regulatory aspects of these transactions. His experience makes him an indispensable resource for our clients and his arrival marks a pivotal moment for our Structured Credit practice, building on our momentum and further strengthening our ability to cover the spectrum of complex and sophisticated finance transactions,” said Justin Breen, co-head of the Global Finance Group.
“I’m delighted to join Proskauer at such a dynamic time for the CLO market. The future growth of the Firm’s global platform is also exceptionally exciting, and its market approach and focus on various fund finance products is a great fit for my practice.
