BOSTON, September 5, 2025 – Proskauer advised Atlas Venture (“Atlas”), a leading early stage venture capital firm investing in groundbreaking biotech innovation, on the closing of its third Opportunity Fund (“Atlas Venture Opportunity Fund III”), raising $400 million in an oversubscribed fundraise. Atlas Venture Opportunity Fund III equips Atlas to continue providing capital to its portfolio companies as they raise subsequent financings and advance therapeutic programs.
The raise comes on the heels of Atlas’ $450 million Fund XIV, its latest early stage vehicle which closed in December 2024. Proskauer also advised Atlas on this transaction. With Atlas Venture Opportunity Fund III in place, Atlas will continue investing meaningfully in select later stage private and public financings of existing portfolio companies, paired with ongoing strategic involvement.
The Proskauer team was led by partner Howard Beber, associates Coco Xiao and David Gorsky and law clerk Cooper Sherman (Private Funds). It also included partner Scott Jones and associates Kyle Litfin and Elizabeth Gallatin (Tax); and partner Adam Scoll (ERISA).
