Rob has played a pivotal role in the media industry’s most high-profile and complicated transactions, including structuring and negotiating many of the matters that have shaped today’s sports and entertainment landscapes.
As co-head of Proskauer’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) Group, Rob leads a cross-functional media and entertainment team and serves as a reliable advisor to the C-suite of his A-list media, entertainment and sports clients, helping them navigate rapidly changing business dynamics. Rob’s work spans nearly 30 years and includes clients such as Warner Bros. Discovery, TMRW Sports, Minute Media and more. His practice includes a broad array of corporate transactions ranging from industry-specific mergers and acquisitions; minority and control investments; the negotiation of complex media and sports rights and content distribution agreements; and the creation of joint ventures, strategic alliances and complex commercial licensing arrangements.
Rob is also a member of the Firm’s Sports Group and is known for his business-savvy and legal expertise, finely honed negotiation skills and coolness under pressure. Over the past year, he advised TMRW Sports in connection with the structuring and launch of TGL and negotiation of its related joint venture with the PGA Tour, venue naming rights with SoFi Center and the sale of ownership and operating rights for the first six teams in the new league. He also advised X Games on the formation of its new league, the X Games League (XGL), as well as Minute Media in securing an exclusive license for the publishing rights of the legendary Sports Illustrated (SI) brand from Authentic Brands Group.
