As co-head of Proskauer’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) group and a member of the Firm’s Sports group, Rob leads a cross-functional media and entertainment team and consistently serves as a reliable advisor to the C-Suite of his A-List media, entertainment and sports clients. He is known for his finely honed negotiation skills and coolness under pressure. For nearly 30 years, he has played a pivotal role in many of the industry’s most high-profile and complicated transactions, including structuring and negotiating many of the matters that have shaped today’s media, sports and entertainment landscape. His work in the past year includes advising X Games in the formation of its new league, the X Games League (XGL); TGL on the sale of ownership and operating rights for the initial six teams that will compete in the new league; and Minute Media in securing an exclusive license for the publishing rights of the legendary Sports Illustrated (SI) brand from Authentic Brands Group.
Tony serves as co-chair emeritus of Proskauer’s Labor & Employment Law Department and heads its West Coast Labor & Employment Group. For decades, he has been the go-to employment lawyer in Los Angeles for A-listers, entertainment production, and media companies and consistently scores victories and sets precedents that leave a direct and lasting impact on the industry while resolving cutting-edge issues confronting employers in and beyond the Golden State. Over the past year, he has worked as lead counsel for the GRAMMY Organization, NBCUniversal, Live Nation, Creative Artists Agency and Fox.
