The awards celebrate the best in class in the secondaries market, with categories covering GP-led deals, LP-led transactions, firms, advisers and law firms.
In 2024, Proskauer’s secondaries team advised on 430+ secondaries transactions globally for more than 100 clients, with a total deal value of over $100 billion. The Firm also acted as fund counsel on a number of secondaries fund formations spanning a range of industry sectors and geographies.
Notable work included several industry-leading transactions, including:
- Advising Lexington Partners as a lead investor in connection with Silver Lake’s $13B purchase of Endeavor Group, the largest private equity sponsor take-private in 10 years and the largest ever in the media and entertainment sector. This was one of the largest ever GP-led liquidity solutions transaction to involve a take-private transaction.
- Advising Apollo as a lead investor in connection with a continuation vehicle with SCI Capital Partners. The transaction was one of the largest continuation vehicles raised in 2024 and the largest structured continuation vehicle to date with $3.2B in capital commitments.
- Advising Blackstone Strategic Partners as a lead investor alongside HarbourVest Partners in Vestar Capital Partners’ $1.2B single-asset continuation vehicle for its stake in Circana.
- Advising Lexington Partners and Neuberger Berman as lead investors in connection with the closing of a $975 million multi-asset continuation fund sponsored by Wellspring Capital Management Group.
Winners of the inaugural Secondaries Investor Awards were decided by a panel of senior editorial staff from Secondaries Investor and Private Equity International, and were based on submissions, market sources and insight into standout performers over the past year.
