NEW YORK, September 3, 2024 – Proskauer, a leading international law firm, today announced that Private Funds associate Corey Dietrich has been named to Secondaries Investor’s (SI) Next Gen Leaders of Secondaries: Class of 2024 list. SI’s annual list recognizes 10 professionals under the age of 36 in the secondaries sector for their exceptional contributions to the industry. Corey was selected for his work in traditional LP-trades and sponsor-led liquidity solutions. Over the past year, he has worked on more than $8.5 billion in secondary transactions, including over 35 traditional LP-trade and sponsor-led liquidity solution transactions.
Corey focuses his practice on representing buyers and sellers, as well as private fund sponsors, in connection with complex secondary transactions, including traditional sales and purchases of fund interests, secondary direct transactions, captive fund spin-out arrangements, fund recapitalizations and restructurings, “stapled” secondary transactions, preferred financings, and co-investment opportunities.
In the last 12 months, Corey has played an integral role in advancing Proskauer’s position as a global leader in secondaries and liquidity solutions. He has also been a frequent keynote speaker at Proskauer’s Secondaries School, a teach-in series that empowers the next generation of secondary sponsors and investors by providing the knowledge necessary to navigate the evolving sector.
SI’s list is judged by the editorial teams of Secondaries Investor and Private Equity International. Submissions are scored across four categories: the size and scope of nominees’ deals; the caliber of their firms; impressive displays of innovation or leadership; and whether or not the candidate displays the elusive X-factor.
