Santiago Ramirez Reyes is an associate in the Litigation Department and a member of the International Compliance and Investigations practice, specializing in anti-corruption and regulatory compliance.
Santiago advises French companies on French and U.S. anti-corruption laws across various industries, including aerospace, energy and oil & gas. He helps businesses strengthen their compliance frameworks by designing and implementing risk-based programs, conducting anti-corruption risk assessments and leading global compliance reviews across numerous jurisdictions, including Latin America, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
Santiago has extensive experience leading and managing complex internal investigations into corporate misconduct, including corruption, fraud and economic sanctions enforcement. He has also assisted companies in anti-corruption audits conducted by the Agence Française Anticorruption. His practical expertise is further enhanced by a secondment to the compliance department of a multinational energy company.
Santiago previously worked as a law clerk in an international law firm in Monterrey, Mexico, where he acquired experience in different practices areas.
Santiago’s interest in complex cross-border legal matters was reinforced by his doctoral work on public policy mechanisms in the choice of law for international contracts at the Sorbonne University in Paris.
Santiago is a qualified lawyer in Paris and Mexico and is fluent in French, English and Spanish.
