Ronak Thakkar is a Leveraged Finance associate and a member of the Global Finance practice.
Ronak advises financial institutions and corporate borrowers across a range of debt products, with a specific focus on leveraged finance and other event driven acquisition financings.
Prior to joining the Firm, Ronak worked in the London office of an international law firm where his English law practice involved acting for various bank and non-bank lenders and sponsors on general corporate lending, restructuring, infrastructure and leveraged finance transactions.
Ronak has spent over 7 years in the Indian market and has extensive experience advising lenders, credit funds and corporate borrowers from an Indian law perspective on cross-border financing transactions/ documentation, restructuring/ Indian insolvency processes, complex exchange control issues in connection with financings and security creation.
