Rob is an associate in the Private Funds Group and a member of the firm's Private Capital industry group.
He advises private equity fund sponsors throughout the lifecycle of their funds, which includes assisting with the formation of private investment funds, co-investment funds and managed accounts, facilitating the funds’ investments in portfolio companies, as well as fund ownership and operational matters.
His fundraising experience spans the private equity asset class for sponsors with a wide variety of strategies such as buyout, venture and growth capital, emerging markets, infrastructure and secondaries.
Rob also advises a number of institutional investors on primary investments, direct and indirect co-investments and secondary transactions and has experience advising fund sponsors and investors on a number of GP-led fund restructurings / liquidity solutions.
Rob has been shortlisted twice for the Innovation Trailblazer award in the Law.com Legal Innovation & Technology Awards in both 2023 and 2025. The awards recognise the crucial role of promoting innovation played by those in the legal profession.
Prior to joining Proskauer, Rob was an associate at Linklaters (London) and at Webber Wentzel (Johannesburg).
