Lily Leishman is a Practice Attorney in the Litigation Department.
Lily’s practice focuses on complex, multi-party commercial disputes and international arbitration. She has experience in offshore litigation in the British Virgin Islands Commercial Court and in proceedings under LCIA arbitral rules. Lily has represented a broad range of clients, including financial institutions and multinational conglomerates.
Prior to joining Proskauer, Lily was a litigation associate at a top-tier New Zealand law firm, where she was involved in several high-profile claims in the New Zealand High Court and Court of Appeal. This included her involvement in one of the largest class actions brought in New Zealand’s history, a case that was elevated to the commercial panel due to its complexity and public interest. In 2023, Lily completed a six-month secondment at a major domestic retail bank in its Litigation department.
Lily is admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.
