Jorge Gonzalez is an associate in the Restructuring Group at Proskauer. His practice focuses on complex restructuring matters, including Chapter 11 reorganizations, financings, acquisitions, and related disputes. He brings a global perspective to his work, drawing on legal training and experience across Latin America, Europe, and the United States.
Jorge is admitted to practice in both New York and Costa Rica, and is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to support clients seamlessly across borders. He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association and the New York City Bar Association, and previously served on the board of the under-40 group of the Institute for Transnational Arbitration.
Jorge earned a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School and holds additional law degrees from the University of Costa Rica. Before joining Proskauer, he practiced as an associate at a leading Latin American law firm and interned for the Honorable Nathan A. Cook at the Delaware Court of Chancery.
