Daniel Olshan is an associate in the Corporate Department and a member of the Private Funds Group.
His practice focuses on advising private investment fund sponsors throughout the lifecycle of their funds, which includes assisting with the formation of private investment funds, regulatory compliance and day-to-day management and operations. Daniel works with both emerging and established sponsors and his fundraising experience spans a wide variety of strategies such as private equity, private credit, venture capital and growth equity.
He earned his J.D. from The University of North Carolina School of Law where he served as a Comments Editor for the North Carolina Law Review. While in law school he also worked as a legal intern for the U.S. Department of Agriculture office of the General Counsel and as a legal extern for the University of North Carolina Department of Athletics.
Prior to joining Proskauer in 2025, Daniel practiced in the Asset Management group at Ropes & Gray LLP.
