Bradley R. Bobroff

Brad is a sought-after trial lawyer and strategic advisor whose broad litigation practice spans all varieties of high-stakes, “bet-the-company” disputes on both the plaintiff and defense side. Brad represents some of the world’s largest public and private companies and their executives, sports leagues and teams, asset managers across private equity, private credit and hedge funds, real estate developers, and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and their family offices. He litigates most often in state and federal courts in New York and Delaware, but has represented clients around the United States and abroad, including before domestic and international arbitration panels.

Brad regularly handles matters involving securities, contract disputes, real estate, fraud, business torts, disputes between GPs and LPs, trade secrets and non-compete claims. He also serves at co-head of the Firm’s Private Credit Litigation Group.

Beyond litigation, Brad serves as outside general counsel for a number of his family office clients, a role in which he is relied upon for his pragmatic and sound advice.

Equally comfortable in the courtroom and the boardroom, Brad is recognized by his clients and adversaries alike as a “straight shooter” and “problem solver,” trusted to navigate the most complex and challenging disputes. He takes a practical, holistic approach to each engagement - developing and executing winning strategies and securing the most favorable results, whether at the negotiating table or before a judge and jury.

Earlier in his career, Brad served as a Special Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of New York through Proskauer’s externship program. As a trial lawyer in the Manhattan Trial Unit, Brad served as lead counsel for the City of New York in 17 jury trials.

Brad maintains a robust pro bono practice and has received numerous accolades for his commitment to his clients. He previously led Proskauer’s public service deposition and trial programs, where he supervised and mentored dozens of young litigation and labor associates in defending a wide range of claims against the City of New York. He has also served on the board of the Young Professionals Committee of the Innocence Project, a national litigation and public policy organization dedicated both to exonerating wrongfully convicted individuals through DNA testing and reforming the criminal justice system to prevent further injustice.

Brad also authors the chapter on Trials (Chapter 44) in Commercial Litigation in New York State Courts (Fifth Edition), widely recognized as the preeminent treatise on business litigation in New York state courts.
