Genesis Healthcare is one of the nation’s largest post-acute care providers, specializing in skilled nursing, assisted living, and rehabilitation services, operating approximately 175 facilities across 18 states. The company serves around 15,000 residents and employs approximately 27,000 people. In its bankruptcy filings, Genesis reported assets and liabilities each in the range of $1 billion to $10 billion.
